Question: I want to plan my own wedding, so why do I need a wedding planner?
A knowledgeable and experienced wedding planner can assist you with countless aspects of your wedding. With creative ideas and industry know-how, we can negotiate prices with the best service providers in town and make sure you get them booked. Assisting with those special touches and keeping an eye on the budget are just some of the tasks we take care of. Organising cake tastings are just one of the perks of having us on board. Need we say more!
Question: My mom and other family members will assist with the set-up, why do I need a wedding planner there on the day?
Asking mom, family members or close friends to assist with the final details is a big no-no. They should be a part of your special day and share in your joy, not be assigned tasks. Save your family members and yourself the time and stress and get a professional wedding planner to assist with the final details before and on your wedding day. It gives you and your family the opportunity to embrace the day and enjoy the occasion.
Question: Aren’t wedding planners only for the rich and the famous? I have a tight budget and I don’t think I can afford one.
Wedding Planners are definitely NOT only for the rich and famous. In fact, every couple should use one! Not only because we save you a lot of time, but also for our experience and understanding of the industry. A good wedding planner incorporates the fee into your set budget, therefore not affecting it much. Charging a percentage of your budget is one way in which everyone is given a fair opportunity to make use of a wedding planner.
Question: How long before the wedding should I hire a wedding planner?
Most wedding planners are booked at least seven to ten months in advance - this is because an average couple is engaged for approximately 9 months before getting married. By booking a wedding planner early, you are guaranteed of our availability and it gives us plenty of time to work on your wedding.
Question: I have already booked some service providers, does this mean I still need a wedding planner and will the costs be the same if I had not hired them myself?
Depending on which service providers you have booked, the services should be excluded from the percentage charged. However, should we have any involvement with them, such as providing them with timelines, phoning to confirm appointments and if they are involved with the actual wedding day, then we will charge a percentage of the service price.
Question: How does a wedding planner determine their fees?
There are various ways in which fees are determined. At Confetti Events we charge a percentage of your final budget. This gives every couple (with a big or small budget) an opportunity to make use of us.
